‘56 bhog prasad’ to be offered to Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on the first day of New Year 2021 - In Pics

NEW DELHI: On the first day of the New Year 2021, ‘56 bhog prasad’ is being offered to ‘Ram Lalla’ in the holy town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The ‘56 bhog prasad’ will be offered to the deity by the chief priest of the Ram temple Acharya Satyendra Das.

The '56 bhog prasad' has been ordered from Lucknow's famous shop 'Madhurima'. 56 types of sweets and other delicacies will be offered to Lord Ram after the morning aarti that takes place around 11 AM.

This 56 bhog prasad includes different types of dessert - Rasgulla, gulgula, malpua, rasmalai etc. There is an old tradition of offering 56 bhog prasad to the God on the occasion of New Year.

This year, it's special because this is the first time that the deity has come to the new temporary building from the make-shift tent. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ram Janma Bhoomi Ram Lalla temple, has brought the '56 bhog prasad' with him to the Ram lalla temple complex where he will offer them after the morning aarti.
