At different places in Ramban district, stones are falling from the mountains on the highway, and on the road leading to Doda, vehicles are stuck in the middle. Snowfall continues in the famous tourist places of Jammu, Patnitop and Natha Top.

4-5 inches of snow has accumulated in plains of kupwara and upper Kupwara recived 8-9 inches of snow.

The local administration is fully active in dealing with the snowfall, but normal life has been affected by the continuous snowfall.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, snowfall has started in Anantnag district as well as the Kashmir valley since yesterday evening, which is still going on.

Srinagar-Leh Highway and other major roads connecting far-flung areas of Kashmir with Srinagar are also closed.

The Srinagar Jammu National Highway which connects Kashmir to rest of India has been shut due to the heavy snowfall.

The snowfall has disrupted the surface traffic in the region.
