Dibrugarh–Kanyakumari Vivek Express was announced in the 2011-12 railway budget and was launched in honor of Swami Vivekananda's 150th birth anniversary.
With 19 coaches, this train passes through 9 states and covers a distance of 4,189 kilometers in 75 hours. Along the way, it stops at 59 stations.
As India's longest-running train, it travels through Assam, Nagaland, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, offering numerous breathtaking views.
This train operates only twice a week. According to IRCTC's website, train number 15905/15906 Vivek Express runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
It departs from Dibrugarh at 7:25 PM and reaches Kanyakumari on the fourth day at 10:00 PM after 75 hours of travel.
This is the longest journey offered by Indian Railways, benefiting people across several states.
