Scenic Stations To Majestic Tunnels: Stunning Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Railway Line Unveiled- SEE PICS

The Rishikesh-Karnaprayag new broad gauge railway line is being constructed by the Ministry of Railways to enhance connectivity in Uttarakhand, specifically making access to the Char Dham pilgrimage sites (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri) easier.

Out of the total 213 km railway line, 176 km consists of tunnels, which have already been completed. The project also includes the construction of 11 stations along the route.

The railway line will improve travel for both pilgrims and locals, providing better connectivity across five districts in Uttarakhand, thereby facilitating easier movement in the region.

By improving transportation, this project is expected to boost local businesses, tourism, and employment opportunities, thus strengthening the economy of the region.

The Ministry of Railways has shared images showcasing the progress of the railway line and station construction, demonstrating how advanced the project has become.
