Suspended by BCCI

Days of struggle
When Rinku was once injured, his father stopped eating as he was the sole breadwinner of the family and him not playing meant not earning and it affected family's finances.
"I wasn't happy staying away from cricket for so long. My father didn't eat for 2-3 days. I told him it's just an injury and it's part of cricket. I'm the sole breadwinner of my life and when such things happen, it is bound to be worrisome," Singh said on a video uploaded on KKR's official Youtube page. (Image source: Instagram)
Domestic career
Rinku made his List A cricket debut for UP in 2014 and at that time, he was only 16. His First-class debut came two years later for UP in November 2016. (Image source: Instagram)
Could have ended up being a sweeper
Rinku's brother once took him to a place where they asked him to sweep the floor. He needed a job but was not ready to become a sweeper. He came back home and told his mother that he will rather focus on his cricket than do such jobs. (Image source: Instagram)
Humble background
Rinku Singh is someone who comes from a humble background. His father still delivers LPG cylinders to homes. Not that this is not a good job where one sacrifices our self-respect. IPL career
Rinku was picked up in 2017 for the first time by an IPL team when Kings XI Punjab bought him for Rs 10 lakh. In 2018, he was sold to Kolkata Knight riders for Rs 80 lakh, four times more than his base price of Rs 20 lakh. He continues to play for KKR till date. (Image source: Instagram)
