However, their origin is considered to be northwestern India and a smaller group of over 350 Burusho people also reside in Jammu and Kashmir.

​All the researchers who lived with the Hunza tribe and studied them deduced almost the same outcome, which is, that the long and healthy life of the Hunza inhabitants is because of their 'organic and natural lifestyle'.

 

As the Hunza tribe lives on the Himalayan high lands, they have access to freshwater which is naturally enriched with minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, etc, that are essential for the body and somewhat explain the anti-ageing of the Hunza people.
