New Delhi: India rose to heights today as the Indian Space Research Organisation, the country's space agency, scripted history by launching record 104 satellites on single rocket into space.

This is how the launch took place:


 


  • The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket blasted off from Sriharikota rocket port in Andhra Pradesh at sharp 9.28 am today.
  • The major cargo was the 714 kg Indian Cartosat-2 series satellite accompanied by a nano satellites including many of foreign origin.
  • The total weight of all the satellites carried on-board by 44.4 metre tall PSLV rocket weighing 320 ton is about 1,378 kg.
  • By approximately 28th minute of the rocket's mission, all the satellites were successfully placed into orbit.
