ISRO launched the Indian Navy's GSAT 7R (CMS-03) communication satellite. The indigenously developed satellite is India's heaviest communication satellite to date, weighing around 4,400 kg.

The CMS-03 is a multi-band communication satellite developed by Isro to ensure robust telecommunication coverage across India, particularly in remote sea and land regions.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is gearing up for another collaboration with the US with its BlueBird-6 satellite, a 6.5-tonne satellite expected to be launched by the end of the year, said ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan.

NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) is a landmark project, marking the first time the Earth will be observed using dual-frequency Synthetic Aperture Radar, NASA’s L-band and ISRO’s S-band. These radars will be operated using NASA’s 12-meter unfurlable mesh reflector antenna, mounted on ISRO’s customized I-3K satellite bus.
