Mumbai: Bipasha Basu may have made headlines for her bold and sexy act in ‘Jism’ way back in 2003 but the Bong babe is actually quite conservative when it comes to kissing on screen.
In a candid interview to a daily, Bipasha said that she preferred love making scenes more than kissing scene. “Physical intimacy - it`s something I am totally comfortable with. It doesn`t really bother me. But when it comes to kissing, which for me is very, very intimate, I am very uncomfortable,” said Basu.
Bipasha who has kissed on screen in films like ‘Jism’, ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and now ‘Raaz 3’, says that she in fact always wants the kiss scenes to be scrapped, but eventually gives in to the director’s demand.
“Kissing on-screen is the worst thing in the world. I`m OK with lovemaking scenes, but I hate kissing. I tried to cancel the Bachna Ai Haseeno kiss with Ranbir for one month, but failed. I tried to cancel a scene in Dum Maro Dum; I succeeded.
With Madhavan, it was just a peck. He`s a very dear friend and it was very, very awkward. I had to have a glass of champagne before that scene, and I was still like `it`s not happening, this is my friend!` It was terrible,” added the actress.
While she may have reservation about kissing, Bips is okay about porn stars being offered mainstream films. “Pornography is a big business worldwide and pretending that it is not is a waste of time. I don`t see what`s wrong if people from there get offers in mainstream cinema. If I was in their shoes, I would accept it as well,” said Bipasha.
