Police probe role of Simran Sood in Kakkar death case

Mumbai: Pictures of model-cum-actor Simran Sood with the who’s who of the cricketing and glamour world have prompted the police to probe the match-fixing angle in producer Karan Kakkar’s death case. Karan Kakkar, 28 was an aspiring Bollywood producer. And in a near breakthrough, police recovered the victim`s BMW near Pune. The police have claimed that a known history-sheeter Vijay Palande has confessed to killing Kakkar and dumping his body. Palande is likely to be booked for kidnapping and murder. He is also the main accused in the Arun Tikku murder case. The police are probing if Kakkar and Sood were involved in fixing matches during the Indian Premier League.
