New Delhi: The team of upcoming film ‘Jolly LLB’ recently met the Law minister Ashwani Kumar to submit a three-point memorandum of problems faced by junior lawyers in our country.
Bollywood actors Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani, who play lawyers in the film, met the minister along with director Subhash Kapoor.
Warsi said in an interview that it was a good opportunity for him to personally meet the minister and tell him about the problems faced by budding lawyers.
“It was a good opportunity for me to meet the Law Minister and tell him the
problems of the lawyers. I met many young lawyers and they have told me that they should receive a minimum payment, I believe they are not being paid properly. So, I would request the minister to increase their wages,” he said.
“Secondly I think the condition of courtrooms should improve. They should be given separate chambers at least so as to give them a good working environment. And last but not the least is that why don’t they get loan or credit cards? So these are the three things I will be asking the minister and if we get a solution of these problems, I will be really happy,” the 44-year-old actor added.

“I think it’s a very noble endeavor. And I can assure my friends that I will do my best as a Law Minister, whatever it is in our power to do, so that we can groom the younger lawyers to become important actors of the legal fraternity the society,” Kumar added.
The film, which is a social satire on the judicial system of the country, will hit the theatres on 15th March 2013.
