Pak model Ayyan Ali freed after four months in jail for money laundering

New Delhi: Top Pakistani model, Ayyan Ali who was jailed for trying to fly to Dubai with half a million dollars in cash stashed in her luggage, which is against the Pakistani law was freed after four months, report suggests.

According to Hindustan Times, the model was released from a high-security jail near Islamabad on Thursday.

Ayyan, 21, was taken into government custody in March when the airport authorities detained her at the Islamabad airport. She was reportedly being held at Adiala Jail.

Report further suggests that the model was trying to smuggle the money out of Pakistan, however she has been tight-lipped in court about the issue.

The supermodel was the face of Pak's fashion industry and started her career at the early age of 16.
