Washington: Whitney Houston’s family is all set to make their reality TV debut. Lifetime has ordered 10 episodes of the TV series that would be chronicling the lives of the late singer’s family members. The show, tentatively titled ‘The Houston Family Chronicles,’ will most likely be launched later this year on the cable network.
The series will show how the family members of the legendary singer are grappling with the death of Whitney, focusing on Pat Houston, the singer’s sister-in-law and manager. Pat is also helping in taking care for Whitney’s only child, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina.
The series will feature Whitney’s mother, singer Cissy Houston, as well as cousin Dionne Warwick and gospel vocalist CeCe Winans.
“I have been working with Simmons-Shelley over the past few years developing a project suitable for myself and our family,” a news channel has quoted Pat as telling a leading daily.
“The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show. However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward,” she added.
This won’t be the only TV project for Kristina. She had recently signed on for a part in Tyler Perry’s TBS comedy, ‘For Better or Worse.’
Whitney died in February at age of 48.
