Actor George Clooney`s next will be a big screen adaptation of Robert M. Edse`s book.

Los Angeles: Actor George Clooney`s next will be a big screen adaptation of Robert M. Edse`s book, which talks about a handful of experts experts who are asked to retrieve artwork stolen by Nazis.
The actor is working on the screenplay for the a big screen adaptation of Edse`s book "The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History", which follows a special force of US and British museum directors, curators and art historians, who risked their lives scouring Europe for art stolen by the Nazis, reports contactmusic.com.
Clooney would not only star in the film, he is also writing and directing it. "We`re working on the screenplay right now. I`m really interested in telling the story of how these very unlikely heroes went miles deep into a mine and found all the art and returned it," Clooney told The Wrap. "It`s a fun movie because it could be big entertainment. It`s a big budget, you can`t do it small - it`s landing in Normandy," he added. However, Clooney revealed the notorious dictator Adolf Hitler will not be making an appearance in the movie. He said: "Who wants to see Hitler. And who really wants to play Hitler?" IANS
