New show on cross dressing to go on air

Mumbai: A new show titled `Raavi`, about a child who is made to cross dress as a boy, is ready to hit the small screen. `Raavi` is the story of a girl`s journey who is brought up as Ravinder.

The storyline revolves around Amrita, who is married to Kawaljeet. But Kawaljeet is brutally murdered by his father`s step brother. This changes Amrita`s life drastically. Then begins her journey as a mother who has to protect her family and her little girl - Raavi, whose identity has to be kept secret at all times. Actress Rashmi Singh, who has been a part of shows like `Dwarkadheesh` and `Jambuvanti`, will be seen as Amrita while Rimi Shrivastav will essay the character of Raavi. IANS
