Srinagar: In yet another instance of ceasefire violation, Pakistan forces resorted to heavy shelling along the Line of Control and the International Border at several places in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning.
As per reports, Pakistan troops violated ceasefire along LoC in Sundarbani and Pallanwala sectors in Rajouri and Jammu districts.
A girl was injured in overnight ceasefire violation by the Pakistani troops along International Border in Kathua and Jammu districts.
Reports said that over 400 families have migrated from these areas to safer locations.
The entire population of Abdullian village in RS Pura sector has also migrated after Pakistan Rangers targeted civilian and Border Security Forces facilities in the area during the last five days.
Border forces of the two countries have been regularly trading fire as India-Pakistan ties soured first in July after an ongoing unrest erupted in the Kashmir Valley following the death of a militant commander.
The ties deteriorated further after militants killed 19 Indian soldiers at a military base in Uri of Jammu and Kashmir on September 18.
In response, the Indian Army on September 29 carried surgical strikes at terror launch pads, killing an unspecified number of militants and their sympathisers in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Since then, the forces of the two countries have regularly targeted each other's military posts along the International Border and the 740-km-long LoC that divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
