Shirdi: Over 1,000 students of a junior college here have written postcards, to be delivered to the Indian army, condemning the recent Uri terror attack in Kashmir in which 18 security personnel were killed.

Around 1,350 students of Shri Saibaba Junior College have condemned the attack and paid tributes to the slain personnel in the postcards, principal Vikas Shivgaje told PTI.

The college is run by Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust.

One of the students, Sidhheshwar Ranmale, wrote, "I salute those killed in the cowardly attack and who sacrificed their lives to save ours. Those who perpetrated the attack should be punished."

Another student, Shabnam Sheikh, said she was pained by the attack on the army base.

The postcards will be sent to the General Officer Commanding of the Army's Northern Command, Shivgaje added.
