Kolkata: In what could be seen as an open threat to the TMC cadre, the party's West Bengal chief Dilip Ghosh on Friday stoked controversy when he allegedly threatened to disconnect the water and electricity supply of TMC supporters and lynch them.
Addressing a gathering at a rally, Ghosh said, “We have RSS training and are capable of breaking necks with our bare hands.”
“We will cut off their electricity connection, water supply & lynch them (TMC) inside their home, we will see what they can do?” ANI quoted him as saying.
“We have won 3 seats and its enough to give you (TMC) a challenge,” he added.
Mamata Banerjee was on Friday sworn in as the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the second consecutive time heading a 42-member ministry with the Congress- Left combine and the state BJP boycotting the ceremony.
