Manila, Nov 10: Philippines President Gloria Arroyo today urged countries to stiffen their resolve against terrorism following the bombing in Saudi Arabia that killed 17 people.
She sent her condolences to the Saudi authorities over the attack in the kingdom where nearly one million Filipinos work and one was injured in the blast.

"This bombing only proves that terrorism is relentless and it should strengthen our resolve to work with all nations, especially where Filipinos reside, to forestall terror," Arroyo said in a written statement.

"I send my condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia in the wake of this attack. I hope the Filipina who was hurt recovers quickly."

Seventeen people, including five children, were killed in a midnight suicide bombing that ripped through a residential compound west of Riyadh late on Saturday, according to the Saudi interior ministry.
