The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested two dealers - Zaid Vilatra and Basit Parihar - in connection with the drugs trafficking case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death and during the interrogation, the duo claimed that Showik used to contact peddlers regularly.
Zaid Vilatra arrested u/s 8(c) r/w 20 (b)(II)A, 23, 27A, 29, 30 of NDPS Act, 1985.
Zaid Vilatra was produced before the Hon’ble Court on 03.09.2020 and by NCB and has been remanded in custody till 09.09.2020.
As per the voluntary statement of Zaid one more suspect Abdel Basit Parihar resident of Bandra area was questioned and he has been arrested by NCB on 03.09.2020 for his alleged involvement.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday said it expects media organisations to exercise restraint while publishing or reporting any details about investigation in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
PTI reported that a division bench of Justices A A Sayed and S P Tavade said the media should report in such a manner that it does not hamper the investigation. The court was hearing two petitions which claimed a "media trial" was going on in the case of Rajput's death and sought for it to be stopped.
One of the petitions was filed by eight former IPS officers against the "unfair, malicious and false media campaign" against Mumbai Police.

Retired IPS officials MN Singh, PS Pasricha, DK Sivanandan, Sanjeev Dayal, Mathur and KPRaghuvanshi had petitioned Bombay High Court against unfair and malicious media campaign against Mumbai Police in Sushant Singh Rajput case and sought end of media trial.

Many celebs have come out in support of actress-model Shibani Dandekar, who on Wednesday, wrote a lengthy post on how media is accusing the 'innocent' Rhea Chakraborty and her family in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

On the other hand, Rhea's ex-manager Shruti Modi has also received a summon from the CBI. Shruti has informed the agency about Rhea's endorsements, payments and her earnings. She has told the officials that the actress used to spend most of her income on herself.
Sushant's flatmate Siddharth Pithani and his househelps Neeraj and Dipesh Sawant will also be grilled today. The trio has been interrogated by the CBI almost everyday since the top probe agency took over the case from Mumbai Police in August.
The Chakrabortys - Rhea, her brother Showik and parents Indrajit and Sandhya - have been grilled by the CBI multiple times, but as per the officials, their statements do not match with each other.
The NCB has already registered a criminal case against Rhea, Showik, her talent manager Jaya Saha and a Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya under several sections of the NDPS Act.
The NCB has also accessed a WhatsApp chat which has revealed that Showik had shared the contact details of Zaid and other drug peddlers with his friends to help them purchase substance.
Moreover, if sources are to believed, Showik also used to help other people in drug supply.

New Delhi: Actress Rhea Chakraborty's father Indrajit was questioned by the CBI for the second consecutive day on Wednesday in connection with the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He has been called for another round of questioning for the third time today after inconsistencies were found in the family's statement. Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and mother Sandhya were not summoned on Wednesday.
