Aus-born Sam Robson `happy` to declare allegiance for England

Sydney: Australia-born England cricketer Sam Robson is reportedly happy with his decision to declare allegiance for England given that he has spent the past six years playing first-class cricket for county side Middlesex.
There were suggestions that Robson faced a conflict of loyalties when it came to deciding his international future with current Australia batsman Chris Rogers, who played for Middlesex, trying to persuade him to pursue a Baggy Green cap rather than the blue of England.
However, the Sydney Morning Herald reports that Robson, who is yet to make his full international debut, insisted that he had no dilemma while deciding his England future as he is not bothered by questions of nationality, adding that he learnt to play first-class cricket in Middlesex. Stating that he loves London, the Sydney-born batsman further said that he has been in England since he finished school so he believes it makes sense for him to play for the country rather than their arch-rivals Australia, although he added that he still visits Australia as he grew up there with his family, who still resides Down Under. Ahead of this weekend`s start of the County Championship program, the report mentioned that Robson wants to emulate childhood heroes Michael Slater ( Australia) and Michael Vaughan ( England) by forging a Test career.
