Rising Pune Supergiants' poor form continues as MS Dhoni-led side lost yet another game.

Over 18.3 | Score 161/2 (Rohit 85, Buttler 27)​

M Ashwin to bowl. Two singles came from the first two balls. 3rd ball, Rohit hit the spinner for a massive six over mid-wicket to finish off the game. Mumbai beat Pune by eight wickets with nine balls to spare.   


Over 18 | Score 153/2 (Rohit 78, Buttler 26)​

Dinda to bowl the crucial over. Sharma is too hot to handle for Pune as the Mumbai skipper hit two consecutive boundaries. Buttler too finished the over with a boundary. 15 came from the over. Mumbai need 7 from 12 balls.      


Over 17 | Score 138/2 (Rohit 68, Buttler 22)​

Boland leaked 11 runs in the over as Mumbai are cruising towards victory. Mumbai need 22 from 18 balls.   


Over 16 | Score 127/2 (Rohit 63, Buttler 19)​

Murugan Ashwin to bowl. Rohit Sharma is playing captain's knock today. Off the fifth ball, Buttler came down the track to hit the leggie for a six. 12 came from the over. Mumbai need 33 from 24 balls.

Thisara Perera to bowl his last over. Both the batsmen hit a boundary each in the over to collect 11 runs from it.

Bhatia is back as Pune look for few more wickets. Six runs from the over. Mumbai crossed the 100-run mark.

Murugan Ashwin with his first over. Rohit took a double off the 3rd ball to complete his fifty. He used mere 39 to reach the mark, laced with four boundaries and two sixes. Five runs from the over.

Rayudu Out! Finally Ashwin broke the partnership. Jos Buttler has come to the middle. Seven from the over along with the wicket.

Boland back into the attack. Four ball was short and wide and Rayudu slapped it towards point region for a boundary. Ten came from the over.

Ashwin to continue. Both the batsmen are playing sensible cricket in the middle. Hosts need wickets to defend the total. Tight over by the offie.

Bhatia to continue. Rohit smacked the third ball out of the park. The bowler leaked 11 runs.

R Ashwin with his opening over. Rayudu danced down the track off the last ball to hit it over cow corner for a six. Ten from the over.

Dhoni introduced Rajat Bhatia into the attack. Excellent over first up by the dibbly-dobbly bowler. Just four from it. Mumbai crossed the 50-run mark. 


Over 6 | Score 47/1 (Rohit 23, Rayudu 2)​

Perera bowled an excellent over by conceding just four runs in it. Rohit just needs to hang in there. 


Over 5 | Score 43/1 (Rohit 21, Rayudu 0)​

Ambati Rayudu is the new man in. Scott Boland has come as the first change bowler. His last ball went for four. But that was the only scoring shot in the over.  


Over 4 | Score 39/1 (Rohit 17)​

Dinda went for runs in his 2nd over as Parthiv hit him for three consecutive boundaries. Pathiv Out! Bowler has the last laugh as the southpaw edged the last ball to wicket-keeper.

Perera to continue. 2nd ball was swatted towards mid-wicket by Rohit Sharma for a huge six. Then came two more boundaries from the skipper's willow. Expensive over by the Sri Lankan as he leaked 16 runs in it.

Ashok Dinda to bowl the over. First ball was on pads and Parhthiv played it towards fine leg for a boundary. That was the only scoring shot in the over.

Thisara Perera bowled the fist over and conceded mere four runs.

Over 20 | Score 159/5 (Perera 12, Bhatia 3)​

Bumrah to bowl the last over of the innings. Dhoni gave a simple catch to Rayudu at deep mid-wicket off the 2nd ball. Perera hit a six off the last ball as Pune put up a fighting total of 159 on board.

Southee to bowl the 2nd last over of the innings. No run from the first two balls. Next ball, a wide. Then came four runs from the next three balls. Single came from the sixth ball. Poor batting display and outstanding bowling by the pacer. Six runs came from it.

Bumrah to bowl. Tiwary Out, caught at deep mid-wicket by Hardik. Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera has come to bat. Seven runs from the over.

Southee to bowl. Dhoni pulled the first ball towards fine leg for a boundary. Then came two more doubles off the next two balls from Dhoni's willow. 11 from the over.

Hardik Pandya with his 2nd over. Single came from the first four balls. What an over by the seamer! He gave just four runs. Hosts need big hits now to put up a formidable total tonight.

Turbanator with his last over. Tiwary picked a single off the 4th ball to complete his fifty. He took 39 balls to reach the mark, with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.

McClenaghan back in action. First ball was whacked straight down the ground by Dhoni for a boundary. But the New Zealander made an excellent comeback as he conceded mere six runs in the over.

Bhajji accounted for Handscomb, as the batsman swept the ball straight into the hands of Buttler at deep square-leg. Skipper MS Dhoni has come to the crease. Two runs from the over.

Southee back to bowl his 3rd over. Tight over by the New Zealander. Three singles came from it.

Bhajji to continue. Tiwary whacked the 4th ball towards deep mid-wicket for a boundary. Nine runs from the over as Pune crossed the 100-run mark.

Bumrah back into the attack. Smith Out! Trying to play a late cut, the Australian played the ball straight into the hands of the wicket-keeper. Peter Handscomb waked to the middle.

Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh into the attack for the first time. Decent over first up by the offie. Seven runs came from it.

Hardik Pandya ​with his first over. First ball, a wide. Next ball, heaved for a six by Smith over mid-wicket. Botht the batsmen are dealing in boundaries and sixes at the moment. The medium pacer conceded ten runs.

Krunal Pandya with his 2nd over. Off the 2nd ball, Tiwary smacked the spinner over cow corner for a massive six. With that Smith-Tiwary forged 50-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Tiwary then hit the left arm spinner for another six and a boundary to collect 20 from the over.

Jasprit Bumrah with his first over. Sloppy fielding thus far by Mumbai. Tiwary hit two boundaries in the over, both towards long on region. Pune crossed the 50-run mark as well.

Spin for the first time. Krunal Pandya into the attack. Fifth ball was launched over mid-wicket my Smith for a six. What a form he has been in. Eight from the over.

McClenaghan with is 2nd over. Tiwary dropped by Bumrah. Third ball was whipped towards mid-wicket by Smith for a boundary. After a gap of one ball, Smith played an upper cut to hit a six over point region. Expensive over by the Kiwi as he leaked 14 in the over.

Southee to continue. Three consecutive boundaries off the last three balls from the Smith's willow. What a player he is! 14 from the over.

New Zealander Mitchell McClenaghan into the attack. Rahane Out! Trying to hit the pacer for a big hit, Rahane got top edge of his bat and Krunal took a fine catch at third man. Steven Smith is the new man in.

Tim Southee to start the proceedings for Mumbai. Both the openers opened their account with the help of a single inside first three balls. Seven runs came from the opening over.    



Mumbai have won the TOSS and decided to bowl first. 


Pune have suffered a major blow ahead the match as after losing Faf and KP, now their all-rounder Mitchell Johnson has also been ruled out of the tournament.
