IPL 9: Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Probably playing XIs; players to watch out for

Mumbai: Defending champions Mumbai Indians take on in-form Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Wankhede stadium today.

Both the teams are full of match-winners and have won two titles apiece.

Rohit Sharma & Co have an upper hand going into the match having defeated KKR in their first meeting of the season, where they chased down a formidable total of 187 runs scored by Gambhir and his boys.

Mumbai are not in the best of form where they are languishing at fifth position in the points table having lost four out of the seven matches they have played so far.

Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for a duck in the previous match against Kings XI Punjab, will have to play yet another special innings in front of home crowd to instill some confidence back in the team.

For KKR, Andre Russell is a player who hasn't made the best of impact so far in the series. The West Indian has looked off-colour so far in the series and he is a player to watch out for in today's match.

Here are the possible playing XIs of both the teams:

Mumbai Indians: Parthiv Patel (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Ambati Rayudu, Jos Buttler, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan Singh, Krunal Pandya, Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee, Jasprit Bumrah

Kolkata Knight Riders: Gautam Gambhir (c), Robin Uthappa (wk), Andre Russell, Yusuf Pathan, Suryakumar Yadav, Shakib Al Hasan, Piyush Chawla, Umesh Yadav, R Sathish, Morne Morkel, Sunil Narine
