After investigating the unrecognized Mardas, the Uttar Pradesh government has now come into action. It is alleged that more than 100 madrassas are being run in Muzaffarnagar district without proper documents. There are about 24 thousand madrassas in the state. A fine of Rs 10 thousand will have to be paid per day.
