মা-বাবার সঙ্গে শ্রীরামপুরের বাড়িতে, ছোটবেলার ছবি পোস্ট বলিউড-হলিউড খ্যাত অভিনেত্রীর

নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদন : বর্তমানে কানাডার বাসিন্দা তিনি। হলিউডের পাশাপাশি বলিউডেও বেশকিছু ছবিতে অভিনয় করেছেন লিজা। ২০০২ সালে আফতাব শিবদাসানির বিপরীতে 'কসুর' ছবিতে অভিনয় করেছিলেন। তারপর ২০০৫-এ জন আব্রাহামের বিপরীতে 'ওয়াটার', ২০১৬-তে ইশক ফরএভার, এছাড়াও আরও বেশকিছু বলিউডের ছবিতে অভিনয় করেছেন লিজা। পাশাপাশি, মডেলিং দুনিয়াতেও বেশ পরিচিত নাম তিনি। সুনাম আছে লেখিকা হিসাবেও তবে অনেকেই হয়ত জানেন না লিজার বাড়ির এই পশ্চিমবঙ্গেই।

হ্যাঁ, ঠিকই শুনছেন, লিজা রে-এর বাবা হলেন বাঙালি। নাম, এল কে দত্ত। যাঁর বাড়ি হুগলির শ্রীরামপুরে। তবে লিজার মা পোল্যান্ডের বাসিন্দা, নাম জেনিফার দত্ত। লিজার পুরো নাম লিজা রানি রে। লিজার একদন ছোটবেলা কেটেছে শ্রীরামপুরের বাড়িতেই। সম্প্রতি, সোশ্যাল মিডিয়াতে ছোটবেলার শ্রীরামপুরের বাড়ির কিছু মুহূর্ত শেয়ার করেছেন লিজা। যেখানে তাঁর বাবা-মা ছাড়াও শ্রীরামপুরে তাঁর কিছু আত্মীয়র ছবিও রয়েছে।

লিজা লিখেছেন, তিনি তাঁর পরিবারের এই অ্যালবাম খুঁজে পেয়েছেন। যেটা তাঁরা সিঙ্গাপুরে চলে আসার পর বাক্সবন্দী হয়ে ছিল। লিজার কথায়, তাঁর মা মনের দিক থেকে পুরোপুরি ভারতীয় ছিলেন। যিনি সেসময় তাঁর বাবা অর্থাৎ কলকাতা থেকে পড়তে আসা পিএইচডির ছাত্রকে বিয়ে করেন। এই ছবিগুলি তাঁদের পৈত্রিক বাড়ি শ্রীরামপুরে তোলা।

৮ মে, শুক্রবার ২৫শে বৈশাখে শান্তিনিকেতনে পড়ানোর সময় রবীন্দ্রনাথের একটি পুরনো ছবিও পোস্ট করেছিলেন লিজা। আবার সত্যজিত রায়ের জন্মদিনেও শেয়ার করেছিলেন তাঁর একটি ছবি। তিনি যে মনেপ্রাণে বাঙালি তা তাঁর এই পোস্ট দেখেই বোঝা যায়।

Tagore began painting relatively late in his career when he was in his sixties. Santiniketan embodies Rabindranath Tagore’s vision of a place of learning that is unfettered by religious and regional barriers. Established in 1863 with the aim of helping education go beyond the confines of the classroom, Santiniketan grew into the Visva Bharati University in 1921, attracting some of the most creative minds in the country. In celebration of Santiniketan’s Centenary, our latest issue TAKE Bengal (Part I) explored the history and the contemporary situations in Bengal in order to regenerate an alternate form of history writing. প্রসঙ্গত, লিজার ছোটবেলা কেটেছে শ্রীরামপুরে। বাবা বাঙালি হওয়ার দৌলতে সত্য়জিৎ রায়ের সিনেমাও দেখেছেন লিজা। পরবর্তীকালে স্কুলে পড়ার সময় কানাডা-তে চলে আসেন লিজা। তারপর থেকে সেখানেই রয়েছেন। লিজা কানাডার বাসিন্দা জেসন দেনি-কে বিয়ে করেছেন। বেশ কয়েকবছর আগে তিনি ক্যানাসারে ভুগছিলেন বলেও জানিয়েছেন লিজা। তবে তিনি সুস্থ হয়ে উঠেছেন বলেও জানিয়েছেন।
