Padmavati: Shahid Kapoor undergoes intense sword fighting session – See leaked pics

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to add more authenticity and genuineness to his character in the upcoming film 'Padmavati'. And, in order to ace the same, the 36-year-old actor was recently clicked undergoing an intense sword fighting session.

"Rajputana style of sword-fighting is an evolved one, which requires the body to be both strong and agile at the same time. Shahid has been taught bits of Gatka, a mix of Angampora and Kalaripayattu. He is also learning spearplay, as the spear is a customary weapon among Rajputs. He has been training for 24 days now," a Mid-Day report quoted a source as saying.

In the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, Shahid will be seen playing the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. 'Padmavati' also stars rumoured love-birds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in key roles.
