Chandigarh: Baba Honey`s ‘Balle Punjabis’ is a family affair as his family members feature in his debut album.
The music album and video was launched recently by Hanish Kaushal aka Baba Honey, who hails from Himachal Pradesh`s Hamirpur town.
Launched under the banner of family production house, Kavisha Entertainment, the album (priced at Rs.65) has four out of six songs written, composed and sung by Baba Honey.
The main female model in the video is his elder sister, Rishika Kaushal, 27, and the producer of the album is their mother, Kavisha Kaushal.
"It was very nice to work together to bring out this album. I have been in the music industry for five years now. This is my debut album," Baba Honey, 26, who idolises bhangra-pop singer Mika and follows his style of singing, said here.
In one of the yet to be released videos, the brother-sister duo will be seen together.
"Though the (album) director was interested in auditioning some girls for the video, I asked him not to. My sister teaches me and keeps correcting me wherever I go wrong. I feel more comfortable working with her than anybody else," Baba Honey said.
The joint musical effort of the family cost them nearly Rs.30 lakh to come out with the video.
Baba Honey had sung commercially in an album while his sister Rishika has been a model for the last five years.
"I was one of the top five finalists of the Femina Miss India contest 2010. I have done ads as well. But this was one of its own kind of an experience," she said.
