‘Aashiqui 2’ to launch new faces

New Delhi: Director Mohit Suri is to direct an updated version of 1990 musical-blockbuster ‘Aashiqui’.

Suri also revealed that he would be casting fresh faces in ‘Aashiqui 2’. “It’s been 20 years for that film. So, obviously now I will have to upgrade this story. It will be the same realistic love story but with a modern theme,” Mohit said. The original film, which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt, had turned Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal into overnight stars. ANI
