Elton John released after hospitalization for respiratory infection

Washington: Sir Elton John has been released from a hospital, after being admitted on Wednesday for what is being characterized as a serious respiratory infection.

The 65-year-old singer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after developing the infection while performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. “The attending Cedars-Sinai physician recommending that Elton not perform any concerts for approximately seven days with complete rest and antibiotic treatment to cure his respiratory infection and prevent any damage,” CBS News quoted the statement of Caesar’s Palace. The infection forced the legendary singer to cancel three of his ‘Million Dollar Piano’ performances. “I love performing this show and I will be thrilled when we return to The Colosseum in October to complete the eleven concerts soon to be scheduled,” John said in a statement. “All I can say to the fans is sorry I can’t be with you. I hope to see you soon at this wonderful theatre at Caesars Palace,” he added. ANI
