Chennai: At a time when a biter power struggle continues to mar Tamil Nadu's ruling party AIADMK, a massive fire was reported at former chief minister J Jayalalithaa's bungalow in Siruthavur on Wednesday.
The cause of the fire, which was first reported by Times Now, is not known yet. Fire brigade teams have reached the site to douse the fire.
Late chief minister's bungalow in Siruthavur is in the Kancheepuram district of the state.
Earlier in 2013, a minor fire was reported at Jayalalithaa's residence.
The minor fire was reported outisde the compound wall, which was supposedly due to short circuit.
Jayalalithaa, then alive, was inside the house at the time of the incident.
