New Delhi: In a repeat of 2015 ICC World Cup semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa, Grant Elliot hit the winning six in the last over in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.

The 14th match of the PSL-2 witnessed Islamabad United posting a challenging 145, and they almost made it a winning total after reducing Lahore Qalandars to 140/9 in the 19th over.

But there stood a brave Kiwi who has a knack of doing things his own way. After losing Aamer Yamin off the first ball in the final over to Mohammad Sami, Qalandars were left exposed.

Then came Elliot, who smacked the next ball for a huge six over long-on. But wait. That's not the best moment of the match.

After hitting the winning six, he stood tall and dropped his bat like a spent warrior relinquishing his weapon of destruction.

His unique celebration has since become an Internet hit with people of all ages imitating the act. But the cricketer himself was bowled over by this little act from a cute child:

Two years ago, he played a brilliant knock of 84 runs from 73 balls to help New Zealand enter final of the World Cup.
