Gloria Estefan to quit music career

Washington, Mar 03: Veteran singer Gloria Estefan is set to quit her musical career to spend more time with daughter.The 51-year-old pop star has confirmed that her upcoming Latin America tour will be her last, insisting she won`t perform any more concerts after April (09) this year.

The Cuban-American singer has decided to quit music in order to focus on spending time with her 14-year-old daughter, Emily Marie. "It is an end to something that began many years ago, in 1975, and it is a dream to be able to do it in Latin America,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying. "These will be the last concerts I do, after I want to focus on my daughter, who is going to high school, and continue working in other areas," she added. Estefan is adamant she won`t be bored with life at home because she has numerous other projects on the go. ANI
