Why Deepika Padukone gave ‘Bigg Boss 7’ a miss?

New Delhi: With only few days left for Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Ram-leela’ to hit the silver screen, the duo is leaving no stone unturned to promote their romantic flick. However, Deepika’s absence in ‘Bigg Boss 7’- hosted by Salman Khan’- to promote her film, has raised some eyebrows. According to a tabloid, the 27-year-old leggy lass has chosen popular show `Comedy Nights With Kapil` over ‘Bigg Boss 7’ for her film’s promotion. Padukone was last seen in the comedy show, promoting her movie ‘Chennai Express’ with Shah Rukh Khan. Padukone reportedly left many onlookers surprised, as she preferred to skip the promotion in the reality show, leaving Ranveer Singh to visit the ‘Bigg Boss’ house alone on the Diwali episode. The actress’ absence was weird, as she once allegedly revealed her interest to work with Salman Khan in his upcoming project ‘Kick’. However, it is said that Padukone’s proximity with SRK, led the producers of the movie to rope in Jacqueline Fernandez. “Deepika has been expressing her desire to work with Salman Khan for a long time now. She was supposed to be part of the Sallu-starrer ‘Kick. But according to the buzz, Deepika’s closeness to Shah Rukh Khan had something with the decision of not including her in a Salman-starrer,” a source said. “Deepika was not supposed to go for ‘Bigg Boss’. She was busy with her other commitments. Her promotion schedule does not include being part of Salman’s show,” a source close to Padukone revealed.
