Medical college to come up in Odisha
The foundation stone of the Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, a Rs.492 crore CSR project of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), was laid by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday at Odisha's Talcher city.

Bhubaneswar: The foundation stone of the Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, a Rs.492 crore CSR project of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), was laid by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday at Odisha's Talcher city.
A MCL official said the medical college would have an intake capacity of 100, 500 beds, multi-specialty facilities in anatomy, bio-chemistry, microbiology, physiology, toxicology, pharmacology, pathology, community medicine, as well as a laboratory and library.
The college would have a separate hostel for boys and girls, and a hostel for junior resident doctors, said the official.
