Mehbooba Mufti breaks down during her first meeting with PDP MLAs after father's death

Srinagar: An emotional Mehbooba Mufti , daughter of deceased Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed broke down during a meeting with her party MLAs in Srinagar on Sunday evening. Media reports say that the 56-year-old didn't speak about oath-taking. 

The meeting said to be crucial as it was her her first interaction with party leaders together after the demise of her father Mufti Mohammed Sayeed last week. 

A party leader said said the meeting was followed by a dinner, which was attended by party leaders and some personal staff of the former CM.

Amid uncertainty over the oath-taking dates of the next CM, Congress President Sonia Gandhi met Mufti on Sunday afternoon in Srinagar.

Senior BJP leader  and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also called on Mehbooba Mufti later.
