New Delhi: An earthquake of moderate intensity rocked the Nicobar Islands in the wee hours on Monday.
The quake, measuring 4.7 on the Richter Scale, had its epicentre at latitude 7.8 degrees N and longitude 94.6 degrees E, a bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
There were no immediate reports of any casualty in the area.
