Amanda Bynes `showing delusional behaviour`

Washington: Amanda Bynes could have much bigger problems than smoking pot and driving illegally as there is evidence of her being mentally ill, it has been claimed.

According to sources from her gym - Equinox in West Hollywood, the 26-year-old former teen actress has been showing increasingly alarming signs of delusional behaviour, TMZ.com reported. One source said that the ‘What A Girl Wants’ star came to the gym on Thursday looking dazed and began speaking with herself - making comments and then answering them back. Another source said when Byne was on the elliptical trainer, she would stop suddenly and start “laughing hysterically for no reason.” And did this periodically throughout her workout. The person said that he had seen her dozens of times in the last few months, and said it was apparent that her condition was “deteriorating.” Several of Bynes neighbors have echoed the same concern over her condition. One neighbour said that he observed her on several occasions having long conversations with inanimate objects. Another neighbour said that people in her condo complex are aware of her condition and her conduct, but haven’t called her friends or relatives or authorities, as they just don’t want to get involved given her profile. Some of the people in the building have been hurt over the last few weeks, as they believe the media is painting Bynes as a garden variety pothead even though her problems are much deeper than that.
