Woman shot dead on resisting robbery bid

Ghaziabad: A woman was today shot dead allegedly by four robbers after she resisted their loot bid at her house in Naveen Kunj colony here, police said.

Nishara was alone at her house Wednesday morning when four robbers entered her house overpowered her and started looting the house, Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Yadav said, adding when she opposed their robbery bid, they shot her.

Around 9.30 AM, Salman, her husband's relative, reached the house and found Nishara lying in pool of blood.

On receiving information, police reached there and rushed her to GTB Hospital in Delhi where the doctors declared her brought dead, he said.

Police is probing all the angles of the case, the DSP said, adding the body has been sent for postmortem.
