Washington: American actress Mary Tyler Moore known for her witty and graceful performances in television sitcoms in the 1960s and 70s, died at the age of 80 after being hospitalised.
The Brooklyn-born actress is known for her role in TV sitcoms `The Mary Tyler Moore Show` and `The Dick Van Dyke Show`.
The actress battled diabetes and underwent brain surgery in 2011 and became famous after starring on the ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ from 1961 to 1966.
