In April 2022, Keshav Maharaj wed his longtime lover. Keshav thinks he is extremely fortunate to have his wife's company for the rest of his life because she is incredibly attractive.

Few people are aware of how talented Proteas' all-arounder's wife is. Being a Kathak dancer, Lerisha shares Indian ancestry with Keshav, whose ancestors originated in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Keshav and Lerisha were introduced via mutual friends. Like always, they became friends and eventually developed feelings for one another. A connection developed out of the friendship. They began dating, but they kept it a secret. Nobody in their circle of friends and family was aware of their relationship.

Given that Lerisha and Keshav came from quite different backgrounds, it would have been difficult to prepare his parents for the marriage.
