New Delhi: Mani, a stray dog, who is a part of Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Kaala' has become the most-sought-after dog among Rajinikanth's fans as they are willing to shell any amount to own the dog, reports International Business Times

According to reports, Simon, an animal trainer, found Mani in a street in Chennai. "Pa Ranjith sir was not happy with any of the dogs that I had shown. He kept rejecting one after the other," he revealed.

The trainer said in a statement that he was scared of losing out on a chance to work with Rajinikanth as he did not approve of any dogs.  Simon has a record of working in over 800-1000 movies as an animal trainer over the last three decades.

Rajinikanth had rejected close to 30 dogs but when he was shown Mani's picture he readily agreed.

Simon was only assigned a week to train the dog to shoot alongside the superstar. The dog also had to be vaccinated to ensure the safety of the film crew, revealed Simon.

The dog who is now 2.6 years old, has featured in two-three films including 'Mehendi Circus.' Simon added that people were ready to offer 2-3 crores after he featured in Kaala but Simon has no plans to sell him.

Call it Rajinikanth's superstar effect or Mani's luck, the life of the street dog has changed completely!
