I-League: DSK Shivajians held for 1-1 away draw against Shillong Lajong FC

Boithang Haokip was adjudged the player of the match for his effective display.

New Delhi: North east club Shillong Lajong were held to a 1-1 draw by debutants DSK Shivajians in an I-League encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Friday.

DSK's Cameroon striker Aser Pierrick Dipanda, gave the visitors the lead at the hour mark, while Shillong's Boithang Haokip equalised in the 74th minute.

After the draw, Lajong remained fifth on the league table with 11 points while DSK moved up a position to the eighth spot with six points.

The two sides had earlier played out a 1-1 draw last time they met on February 21.
