EPFO to launch system for discouraging premature withdrawals

Retirement fund body EPFO plans to launch 'One Employee One EPF Account' system on May 1 to dissuade premature PF withdrawals and encourage state governments to join its pension system.

1,401 prosecutions launched for not filing PF returns in FY16

As many as 1,401 prosecutions were launched against the employers till September end this fiscal, who defaulted on payment of PF contribution to the retirement fund body EPFO, Parliament was informed Monday.
