SCORECARD» I COMMENTARY» ==================================================================================== Over 89.5 || Score 249/9 Pakistan were 157/6 at the end of 60 overs but Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan put up a brave fight against the hosts as the duo added 67 runs for the ninth wicket in quick time. Saeed Ajmal is unbeaten at 49, a knock that has got Pakistan to a respectable score as they were wobbling at 182/8 at one stage. ==================================================================================== Over: 60 II Score: 157/6 After the loss of three early wickets, Pakistan started good post lunch but the steady partnership of Misbah-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali (101 runs) came to an end in the 47th over. Asad Shafiq was the new batsman at crease. But he managed to score only four runs and was caught out on a Utseya delivery. The next batsman Adnan Akmal had taken guard for the first time in a year and a half in Test cricket for Pakistan. But his contribution to the team was a paltry 18 runs before being bowled by Chatara. The post lunch session turned out to be in Zimbabwe’s favour as by 60th over, Pakistan had lost three more wickets. Pakistan is in trouble now. After 14 overs he must have revisited his statement for his team was three wickets down that forced him to take guard earlier than anybody would have anticipated. Mohammad Hafeez and Khurram Manzoor opened the innings for Pakistan. They lost the wicket of Hafeez in the seventh over when Tendai Chatara induced an edge which was taken by Sibanda in slips. He departed after scoring 5 (17b). Tinashe Panyangara then removed Manzoor in the 12th over after trapping him in front of the wickets. He scored 11 (38b, 4X2). Veteran batsman Younis Khan was the third wicket to fall after being bowled by Panyangara at the score of 3 (9b). Rocked early by the Zimbabwean pacers, Misbah walked to the crease with the scoreboard reading 27/3. He then ensured that the first session passed without further hiccup and along with Azhar Ali took the score to 74/3 before lunch was taken. ==================================================================================== TOSS: Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first. Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor is giving this Test a miss after becoming a father on Tuesday morning.
