'Political vendetta', claims Tejashwi Yadav after I-T attaches 12 properties of Lalu Yadav's family

Patna: After the Income Tax officials charged family members of RJD chief Lalu Yadav, including his son and daughters, the Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday came out in the defense and dismissed the charges as "political vendetta".
Speaking to media, Yadav scion said, "The allegations are being levelled because of political vendetta. We haven't hidden anything. If called, we will be ready to answer. (Political vendetta ke aadhar par ye galat baatein chalaai ja rahi hain. Humne kuch nahi chupaya hai, humein bulaya jaayega toh hum jawab dene ke liye taiyyar hain)."
Earlier today, the Income Tax department slapped charges under Benami Transactions Act against Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav's wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharti.
The Income Tax department attached a total of 12 plots of Misa Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav, Rabri Devi, and sisters Ragini and Chanda Yadav and served an attachment notice under the stringent act for assets worth over Rs 9 crore (the market value is Rs 147 crore) against the Lalu Prasad family.
