Shahid Kapoor's next movie title announced- Watch video

New Delhi: What could be a better Diwali gift for all the Shahid Kapoor fans out there than the new title of his upcoming film! On the occassion of the festival of lights, Shahid took to Twitter and wished everyone a Happy Diwali in a rather different way.

The much adored Bollywood actor gave a social message in his Diwali Tweet. He urged everyone to celebrate the festival of lights with hope that electricity will soon be a fundamental right for all. 

With this message, Shahid shared the title of his upcoming film- Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

The movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu is from the director and writers of Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and will hit the theaters soon. The movie is jointly produced by  KriArj Entertainment and T Series.

Shahid was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon with Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.

Perhaps one of the most awaited films of Shahid this year is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati which will also star Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Shahid's look as Rawal Ratan Singh is intriguing and takes the excitement level for the film up a notch.
