Lindsay Lohan living rent free in New York

London: Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is reportedly living rent-free in a New York City penthouse, loaned to her by a friend.

The actress is facing various legal and financial troubles and was thought to have moved in with her mother Dina in Long Island. However, a friend of Lohan`s has apparently loaned her a luxury SoHo apartment indefinitely until she finds a place of her own, reported Digital Spy. The building has been home to celebrities including Lenny Kravitz, Nicole Kidman and Ben Stiller. Courtney Love used to live there but sold her apartment in 2006. The USD 6 million penthouse features amenities including a 24/7 concierge service, wine cellar and tasting room. Lohan apparently owes her former lawyer Shawn Holley USD 150,000 in fees and still has to pay USD 130,000 in back taxes. She is currently facing allegations that she violated her probation in her theft case, in addition to possible charges over a New York nightclub scuffle. PTI
