New Delhi: Canadian company DataWind launched its new tablet the PC 7SC in India at Rs 2,999.
Along with the launch, free internet web browing has been provided for one year by Rcom (Relianace communications) and Telenor Networks on a GSM sim card (prepaid).
Partnered with DEN Snapdeal TV-Shop, DataWind has tied an agreement with it about selling the PC 7SC tablets exclusively on latter’s 24x7 commerce TV channel.
The DataWind 7SC Tablet has 17.78 display with resolution of 800x480 or 52.47 ppi. The device packs 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage (32GB extension) with a 1.3Ghz Single core processor by Media Core. It offers high speed internet connectivity with 2400mAh battery capacity and runs on Android 4.4.2.
Commenting on the launch, Suneet Singh Tuli, President and CEO of DataWind Inc. said, “The new range of smart-phones and tablets are powered with free unlimited Internet browsing for a year on Reliance Communications (RCom) and Telenor network.” He added, “We are launching this tablet to address the forgotten billions, who are our largest constituent of digital age today. We are very confident that 7SC will impress everyone with its superior quality and innovation. The growing ambition of people will find the product within their reach, geographically as well as economically”.
