MIA banned from travelling with son

New York:Singer MIA has been banned from taking her four-year-old son out of Brooklyn after her former fiance Benjamin Bronfman obtained a restraining order.

The 37-year-old British rapper has been hit with a restraining order after her billionaire ex-fiance took legal action to prevent her from taking Ikhyd out of New York City and to London, where the musician grew up, reported New York Post. "MIA has been texting and calling Ben, saying she will take their son to London, even though they both live in Brooklyn and the child goes to school there. "Ben filed a motion for a temporary restraining order preventing her from taking their son to the UK against his wishes," a source said. MIA, whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, later took to Twitter to express her anger. "Ben you can`t take my son away from me `The mother`. Just because you have money doesn`t mean you have the right... every child needs the mother, I grew up without a dad. If grew up without my mother I wouldn`t be here," she posted. She later deleted the tweets. PTI
