Nicole Kidman to star in ‘The Railway Man’

Nicole Kidman has been signed on for the WWII drama, replacing Rachel Weisz.

Melbourne: Nicole Kidman has been signed on for the WWII drama, replacing Rachel Weisz.
According to Variety.com, British actress Weisz had to opt out of the project because of commitments on ‘The Bourne Legacy’ and ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’, the Daily Telegraph reported.
‘The Railway Man’ is an Australian-UK production based on the experiences of former World War II prisoner Eric Lomax and his reconciliation with one of the Japanese captors years later. Kidman will play Colin Firth’s wife in the film, which will be shot in Scotland. Filming for the World War II scenes will take place on the Gold Coast, Australia. Shooting will commence in April. ANI
